Mera peak (6461meters) is one of the most popular and highest trekking peak in Nepal with its alpine PD difficulty grade - a little difficult with little bit of technical climb and complicated snow walk. Mera peak climbing is technically straightforward but physically demanding trip in Himalaya suitalbe for fit and keen hill walkers looking to take part in a real Himalayan climbing expedition. Besides the charm of Mera peak climbing, the trek from Lukla to Mera base camp explores some of the remote and wild alpine areas of the Hinku valley, south of Mt. Everest. Mera peak expedition provides a great opportunity for those who dreams and dare to stand on the Himalayan summit with a sense of great achievement. Mera Peak climbing begins following a short and exciting flight to the mountain airstrip of Lukla and after continuous trek for days through the high and lovely valleys you will get to the area of Mera. Although physically very demanding on account of the altitude, the climb on Mera Peak is not technically difficult as ascending snow slopes rarely exceed 40 degrees. The only qualification you need to ascend Mera peak is your excellent physical fitness and an extrovert sense of adventure. Our Mera peak itinerary has been carefully designed to allow gradual acclimatization for the climbers. The walk in initially through the virgin forest of the Hinku Valley is incredibly beautiful and provides excellent acclimatization for the peak itself. Day 01: Arrival, transfer to hotel. Trip preparation; trekking equipments, climbing equipments etc. Overnight at hotel
Day 02: Sightseeing tour of Kathmandu valley: the Royal Palace, Durbar Squares, Swayambhunath (the monkey temple), Pashupatinath, Buddhist Stupa at Baudhnath, Patan and an ancient city Bhakatpur etc. Hotel.
Day 03: Early morning Flight to Lukla (2860m) Trek to Phuiyan (2796m) walk 4-5 hrs approx, camp.
Day 04: Trek to Pangkogma (2846m) walk 06 hrs approx, camp
Day 05: Trek to Narjing Dingma (2690m) walk 06 hrs approx, camp
Day 06: Trek to Chalen Kharka (3440m) walk 05-06 hrs approx, camp
Day 07: Trek to Khola Kharka (4120m) walk 06 hrs approx, camp
Day 08: Trek to Kote (3490m) walk 06 hrs approx, camp
Day 09: Trek to Tangnang (4140m) walk 5-6 hrs approx, camp
Day 10: Climbing Clinic / Acclimatisation Day (This acclimatisation day is very important and useful for boosting yours adaptation to the altitude), camp
Day 11: Trek to Khare / Mera Base Camp (4940m), walk 4-5 hrs approx, camp
Day 12: Acclimatisation day /Ridge ascent from Hinku Nup, camp
Day 13: Climbing Clinic; Ascending the steep edge of the glacier is an ideal to practice crampon use and ice axe technique, and to get the feel of jumaring on a fixed rope. On top we find a suitable area with a safe run-out to learn self-arrest, the single most important skill of alpine mountaineering, even if little needed on the safe slopes of Mera.
Day 14: Trek to High Camp. Walk 5-6 hrs approx, camp
Day 15: Summit the Mera Peak and walk back to Khare. Walk 08 hrs approx, camp
Day 16: Spare Day for Summit; The weather condition in the Himalayas is unpredictable so this spare day enables us to be flexible with the program depending upon the weather condition or other problems.
Day 17: Trek to Kote, walk 06 hrs approx, camp
Day 18: Trek to Cetera (4190m) walk approx 06 hrs
Day 19: Trek to Lukla, walk 07 hrs approx, lodge.
Day 20: Fly back to Kathmandu, hotel.Rest day, farewell dinner.
Day 21: Transfer to the International airport to board flight for onward journey.

Cost Exclude:

    Nepal Visa fee (bring accurate USD cash and two passport photographs)

    Excess baggage charges (if you have more than 20 kg luggage, cargo charge is around $1.5 per kg)
    Extra night accommodation in Kathmandu because of early arrival, late departure, early return from mountain(due to any reason) than the scheduled itinerary
