Tilicho Peak Expedition

Star Adventure Asia Treks offers the Tilicho (Peak) Lake Expedition:
Tilicho peak is situated north of Manang in Annapurna region. Tilicho Peak is towers at the height of 7,134m. Mountaineers rate this as a technical climb, and not so easy. Its north-east ridge covered with snow majestically towers the high Kali Gandhaki valley to the west and the Marshyangdi Valley to the east, while the hidden kingdom of Mustang lies just few miles to the north. We follow the classic route of Annapurna circuit trekking up to Manang and then proceed towards Tilicho Lake to approach the mountain. Tilicho Peak is considered a technical climb among the 7000m Peaks in Himalayas. Normally three high camps will be established in the approach to the summit. Base camp will be set near Tilicho Lake at an altitude of 4800m. Camp I will be pitched at 5800m. After climbing form the top your can view the spectacular views of Tilicho Lake. Climbing with fixed ropes is required on 40 degrees slope to reach Camp II at 6300m. Summit is approached with climbing on some stretches of 60 degrees slope.
